Sylvia Middaugh’s passion in victim services began in 1997 with The Abuse Network, Inc. which serves Mifflin and Juniata Counties in Central Pennsylvania. In 1998, she developed the Medical Advocacy Program at Lewistown Hospital which led to an improved response to domestic and sexual violence survivors. She was a critical link in the development of the Sexual Assault Response Team that was implemented in 1991. She assumed additional roles as the Education and Volunteer Coordinator in 2003 and 2005 respectively. She is responsible for coordinating school and community violence-prevention programs as well as volunteer recruitment and training.
