Joyce O’Brien is the Senior Community Liaison, Public Protection Division, Office of Attorney General Elder Abuse Unit.  Her advocacy on behalf of senior citizens expands over 30 years in three states in both the private and public sectors.  During the past four years, she has been conducting seminars across the state to empower Pennsylvania seniors with the tools they need to protect themselves from scams and fraudulent practices.  In 1995, Joyce was appointed by Governor Ridge as the State Ombudsman in the Department of Aging. She has served as a Legislative Aide in the Pennsylvania State Senate, and has worked for many years in long-term care environments.  She holds a B.A. in Communications from Thomas A. Edison State College, Trenton N.J.
